Lakeshore Minor Baseball Opening Day--June 7th!
Hello Lakeshore Minor Baseball Parents!   We are so excited to announce that our opening day is June 7th, 2025. This event is held at Ladouceur-Lions Diamond in Belle River and will start promptly at 9am. Below you will find important information about that day including maps. Please read carefully. Your coaches will be there to direct the team to where they need to be, and you will find others in green vest that will help during that day if there are any questions.

Please remember cash for the concession stand and the 50/50 draw!!

ARRIVAL

·       Players should arrive in full uniform between 8:30am-8:45am.

·       Signs will be posted on the fence near Lions 1 diamond to meet with your team and coaches.

·       Coaches will have grab bags for each player.

o   In the grab bags will be a PINK ticket for the concession stand combo. Additional combos for non-players can be purchased for 6$ CASH at the concession stand. Concession stand opens at 9:30am

o   There is a PASSPORT in each bag. This will allow you to keep your score and times at each station. Please fill these out for a chance to win the raffle prize and to receive a certificate for best time or highest points in your division. RETURN PASSPORT ONCE ALL STATIONS ARE COMPLETED TO THE SIGN IN TABLE. If the passport in not returned, your player will not be eligible for the raffle.

·       If you are waiting on a uniform, please come to the sign in/information table.

 

OPENING CEREMONY – 9:00 AM – LIONS 1

Ceremonial Walk in with teams/players that are present

-          Each team will be announced as they walk up. Starting with 5U

-          Each team is presented and will line up along the second and third base line

 

National Anthem sung by Juliet Lewsaw(Umpire)

 

Ceremonial First Pitch:

-        Storm player (under pitch) to LMBA Member

-        Rep/HL (over pitch) to Deputy Mayor

 

 

MINI-GAME STATIONS

There will be mini-game stations available all day for those players who choose to participate.  It is completely optional, but we do encourage those players attending to participate. You will receive a LMBA Passport to record your times, points and distances of each game. We would like for you to write down your players name, team and age group. These cards will be handed in when you leave, and the winner will be announced during the following week. (A winner will be chosen from each division group, and a certificate will be given to the coaches)

Hitting Distance Challenge - Starting at 9:30 AM

PICTURES

All House League and Storm players will have their picture taken during the day. You will receive a card with a QR code to order your picture package after the photoshoot.

EVENT PARKING

Parking is allowed in designated areas around the park as noted below:

        Chisholm Street

        St. Peter St

        Belle River High School

No EVENT PARKING is permitted on any portion of Ouellette Street or at the Fire Hall to enable these businesses to run effectively and to allow Fire Emergency Services to operate if needed.  

Please allow extra time to find a parking spot in the designated areas.
